This place is beautiful! I really enjoyed my visit here. The large gravel bar is pretty compacted from people driving on it. Chicken can still pick up an examine the rocks and it makes it easier to get to the water. The water is crystal clear smooth, rounded stones make walking in the water, comfortable and easy. I still recommend shoes of some kind because people frequent this place and people do stupid things like break glass in the water. There was only one other person there when I visited and of course they were parked on the gravel bar. There’s quite a bit of parking available, right where you access the river. My puppy enjoyed herself in the river and the gravel. There are bathrooms available, but no running water. Overall, a great place for a rest stop or to spend a day.

This appears to be a fairly new park & is absolutely beautiful. They offer free access to the river for summer activities as well as free camping, up to 7 days. They have placed trashcans at every single campsite so there isn't a trash problem. They have pretty nice vault toilets, no showers. They also offer free trash bags to pick up after one's dog. No glass or styrofoam allowed. This is a great park along the river for a day visit or an overnight stay.

This area is very beautiful and clean. Not many people here so it's nice and secluded.
