Feels a bit odd to go up to a house, ring a door bell, and ask to see the gravestone in the backyard but the owner was very nice and let our group go to the back to pay our respects to this TV icon. Such a neat and interesting site in Oklahoma!
Mar 28, 2026 · Google ReviewA novelty stop to say that you did it. It is literally in someone's backyard and there is no sign giving any permission to go back there. The front porch has a donation box for upkeep of the grave site. I rang the doorbell and got no response at first. I was about to walk back there after giving a donation but they answered the door as I was walking away. The lady was pleasant and said it was fine to go back. The grave itself is well kept and is a nice tribute to the horse that so many remember watching as kids. It's worth stopping if you are passing by. I would rate it higher if there were signs letting people know what they should do to properly access the backyard.
Jul 30, 2025 · Google ReviewBeautiful tall headstone. Great memories watching the show as a kid. Be respectful, it is in someone's backyard. I knocked on their front door to ask for permission just to be polite. A great drive out in the country side.
Mar 30, 2023 · Google ReviewQuirky place to stop if you’re near Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The original Mr. Ed is in California but this is the grave of Pumpkin who was the palomino that did some public & promotional events as Mr. Ed. It’s in someone’s backyard so be respectful. Cars were home so I just knocked on the door to ask permission to be polite. I’m sure they are accustomed to people stopping for a pic so I’m sure you’d be fine without knocking. My Gps gave wonky instructions. It’s on the north side of highway 82 near E 710 Rd if you go westbound and reach Arnold Price Drive you went too far.
