Great little dinner with Amazing prices. Grilled fish for $12.99. The Fried whole sliced pickles were also amazing. Great place if you're looking for a Home Cooking type of Dinner. Highly suggest if you're in the Tahlequah Area! Also, the staff working were Great!

Yesterday I took a drive out to Tahlequah, Oklahoma to try Fite’s Restaurant—and I’ve got to say, the trip alone was worth it. The scenery driving through the forest and along the river was absolutely beautiful. Tahlequah is just a great place all around. When I arrived, I was greeted right away and seated promptly. I don’t recall my server’s name, but she was friendly and attentive. They were unfortunately out of a few sodas due to a delivery issue, so I just went with water—no big deal. I came in specifically to try the country fried steak, and that’s exactly what I ordered, along with eggs, hashbrowns, and a sweet cream pancake. My food came out in under 10 minutes, which was impressive. Now let’s talk about that country fried steak… it was HUGE. Honestly one of the biggest I’ve ever had, especially for breakfast—and at around $14.99, the value was outstanding. The hashbrowns were unique too—pressed thin and grilled, which gave them a different texture than what I’m used to, but I liked it. The eggs were cooked over-medium as ordered, though a bit crispier than I prefer. Not a deal breaker, just a personal preference. The country fried steak itself had great flavor, though I think the breading could be toned down just a bit. The white gravy was solid, and that sweet cream pancake was something different—in a good way. Really enjoyed that. Overall, it was a very good experience. The place stayed busy, the staff was friendly, and a manager even stopped by to apologize for the soda situation, which I appreciated. If you’re in Tahlequah and you like country fried steak, I’d definitely recommend giving Fite’s a try. I’ll be back again. Grub Score 8.0/10.0

My wife and I visited Fite's (at their new location on Muskogee Avenue) today after returning from church in Marble City. It was about 1:30, so the main lunch crowd had cleared out. We were promptly seated and waited on by a friendly waitress. After my wife mentioned she has alpha gal allergy, the waitress told us they have a totally separate grill specifically for such issues so there isn't any worries about the food coming into contact with mammalian-derived meats or dairy products. They have a number of alpha gal-friendly options. My wife ordered the fried chicken strips with cottage potatoes and fried okra. I ordered chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes (both with cream gravy) and onion rings. First note: the portions were HUGE! The chicken strips could equal at least 1/3 of a whole chicken. And the chicken fried steak covered a whole plate of it's own. But, portion size means nothing if the food isn't good. Well, I'm happy to say they were both EXCELLENT (note that the CFS is made with Ribeye!). All I can say is if you haven't tried Fite's or it's been awhile, you just gotta go! Let's support this outstanding local business.

Absolutely delicious! Complementary fry bread with honey is a HUGE selling point for this place. My husband got the Eugene fish dinner with fried okra and he said it was the best fried okra he'd ever had, it was seasoned to perfection, the fish was fresh, plump and juicy, fried very well, not greasy at all. I got the Cherokee Taco and it was also incredible, goodness the fry bread was sooo good and filling. Emily our waitress is such a sweetheart, attentive, and personable. Place is very clean, and has a cute little gift area with some jams/sauces, and jewelry. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!
